The HSI Adult First Aid | CPR AED course is designed for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but want or are required to be trained and certified in first aid and/or CPR AED for adults, children, or infants.

HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding Blended DC (2020) 

Course overview:
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age in the United States. A large portion of those deaths are from severe bleeding – the most treatable cause of death due to trauma.

The HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding program is a completely revised and updated training program, integrating the latest and new Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding procedure.

This program uses a step-by-step procedure and skill guide to provide guidance for assessing, prioritizing, and stopping life-threatening bleeding based on scientific evidence, national guidelines, and the consensus of experts.

HSI Stop Life-Threatening Bleeding is an excellent supplement to our CPR and First Aid programs.

CHILD AND BABYSITTING SAFETY (CABS)

Course Overview

The HSI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program provides teenagers and young adults with the knowledge and skills needed for safe and successful babysitting. It covers how to start a babysitting business, interact with parents and children, and includes essential safety and first aid information based on the latest 2020 guidelines.

Intended Audience

• Teens and young adults interested in starting a babysitting business

• Individuals responsible for caring for younger family members

Course Details

Certification Period:

• 2 years from month of issue

Course Length:

• Approximately 4 hours

• Completion is based on achieving learning objectives rather than a fixed time requirement

Student-to-Instructor Ratio:

• Recommended: 6:1

• Maximum: 12:1
